Kitchen Manager, Chef & Culinary Explorer

After a decade as a professional confectioner, pastry chef, and chocolatier, Sophie found her way into savory cooking through a deep love of culture, flavour, and nourishment. With years of hands on experience, she brings an intuitive and heartfelt approach to the kitchen, guided by curiosity, creativity, and care.

Her travels through South East and East Asia sparked a lasting connection to regional food traditions, inspiring her to learn directly from local cooks and communities. These experiences shaped her philosophy: sharing food is not only nourishment, but a form of connection, storytelling, and love.

Today, she blends her background in precision based pastry arts with a free spirited love of global cuisine; cooking meals that comfort, inspire, and bring people together. Whether she's crafting a cozy weeknight dinner or hosting a feast for friends and family, her food always comes from the heart.

In her free time, you'll find her exploring new flavours, solving puzzles, making miniature models or simply enjoying a shared meal with loved ones.

Elisha

Holistic Chef and Nutritionist

Elisha’s passion for food and wellness is rooted in her belief that nourishing the body with whole, vibrant ingredients is one of the most powerful tools for health. She began her journey at George Brown College, where she graduated from the Culinary Management Nutrition program in 2015. Building on that foundation, she later became a Certified Nutritional Practitioner (CNP) in 2025 through the Institute of Holistic Nutrition, deepening her knowledge of how food supports overall well-being.

Inspired by global flavors, Elisha’s favorite cuisines to cook are Mediterranean and Thai, each offering fresh, bold, and nutrient-rich dishes that align beautifully with her holistic approach to nutrition. She brings creativity and joy to the kitchen, crafting meals that are both satisfying and deeply nourishing.

Outside of cooking, Elisha loves spending time outdoors, whether it’s camping under the stars, relaxing at the beach, or exploring new trails. She also enjoys visiting local farmers markets, discovering fresh seasonal ingredients, and trying out new restaurants in search of inspiration"

Laura

Operations Manager

(Rachelle here…) Let me introduce you to the glue that truly holds us all together. Laura is exceptional at what she does…from optimizing our schedules and managing orders to keeping the entire team happy and running smoothly. Most importantly, she is my right-hand woman and an integral part of everything we do. Quite simply, Current BN would not be what it is today without her.

When she’s not holding down the fort with us, Laura is passionately pursuing her love for film and acting. A true adventurer at heart, she thrives on travel, new experiences, and exploring the world wherever it may take her!

Rafe

Kitchen Support & Delivery

(Rachelle here…) With a personality as bright as a ray of sunshine, Rafe (rhymes with “safe”) has been an invaluable part of our team since 2024. Known for his safe driving, exceptional attention to detail, and clear, reliable communication, he brings peace of mind and positivity to everything he does. We are truly grateful to have him as part of the Current BN family.

Rafe is a devoted family man, happily married for many years to his wife, Juanita, and proud dad to their two wonderful sons. When he’s not keeping our deliveries running smoothly or the kitchen organized, he loves showing off his cooking skills and enjoying a great chat. A true lover of life, Rafe is an absolute delight to be around.

Giulia

Chef and AMAZING Cooking Instructor

With a background in high-end, Michelin-starred restaurants across Europe, Giulia brings a refined yet approachable touch to every meal. Of Italian heritage, she specializes in authentic pizza and handmade pasta, blending tradition with modern techniques - if you ever get a change to take one of her cooking classes. We HIGHLY recommend it!

Now based in Vancouver, she shares her passion for cooking through private chef services and hands-on cooking classes, creating unforgettable culinary experiences. On her days off, you’ll find Giulia exploring new restaurants, visiting farmers’ markets, and traveling in search of fresh inspiration.

Lahiru

Kitchen Support & Delivery

(Rachelle here…) Originally from Sri Lanka, Lahiru has been a valued full-time member of our team since 2024. He is a gentle soul with an unwavering work ethic and a natural willingness to go above and beyond…qualities that perfectly reflect our core values at Current BN. Thoughtful, dependable, and kind to the core, Lahiru brings heart and integrity to everything he does.

With a growing interest in the world of accounting, Lahiru is excitedly stepping into his next chapter alongside his wife, while continuing to explore and build a life in beautiful British Columbia.
